I just want the wood. Will you 'dump and run'?

No, we do not offer 'dump and run' services. Many firewood delivery companies operate by just pushing your wood out the back of a pickup into the middle of your driveway. We are a full service firewood delivery company - we take care of hauling and stacking your wood exactly where you'd like it, and cleaning up our tracks afterward as well.

My delivery requires stairs and/or a long hand-carry. Will there be a surcharge?

Possibly.

Long hand-carries are made necessary when we can't fit our wood carts into a space - be it a backyard, your side door, etc. Our wood carts are similar in size to a upright moving dolly.

One or more flights of stairs may incur a surcharge. However, is there an elevator in the building (even if the total path length is longer)? Alternatively, sometimes we can physically throw (and catch) wood over obstacles when working in teams. Perhaps we can toss and catch it over your back fence, rather than carry it up and over the front steps?

I'm not in the central bay area. Will you still deliver to me?

There may be a fuel surcharge. Please consult our delivery map.

Do I need to be at home for my delivery?

Returning customers don't necessarily need to be home for their delivery. As long as we can access the location where you'd like your wood stacked, you don't need to be present for the delivery. We can accept payment by mail, or pick it up another time.

New customers do need to be present for the delivery. It's important to us to both ensure 100% delivery satisfaction and establish a personal relationship with you.

Do you sell any accessories? Kindling, matches, wood racks...

While we look forward to adding this feature in the near future, we do not sell any accessories at this time.

Where do you get your wood from?

Our wood comes from the orchards of the central valley. It is harvested in a responsible and renewable manner when an orchard reaches the end of its useable lifespan. More details can be found on our wood page.

Is your wood easy to light?

Yes! If you'd like, we can be sure to pack your order with a few extra small pieces of walnut - those are the easiest to get a fire going with. Just let us know.
